The unexpected and charming trio of harp, flute and piano will play on September 8 in the Lviv Organ Hall. Musicians from Poland are harpist Adrian Nowak, flutist Martyna Węgrzynowska and pianist Martyna Chmiel. Friendship, extraordinary charisma and a common passion are reflected in their music - which intrigues and overpowers.
Martyna Węgrzynowska graduated with honors from the Stanisław Moniuszko Music Primary and Secondary School in Bielsko Biała, Poland in 2004 and in 2010, with highest distinction from the Academy in Music in Krakow. Improved mastery at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. He is currently studying at the graduate school at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw. Laureate of many musical contests in Poland. Martyna has focused her musical career on orchestral activity as principal/tutti flautist and solo piccolo player, performing with renowned ensembles in Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, UEA and USA.
Adrian Nowak is from Rzeszów. From childhood he was interested in dancing, acrobatics, swimming, but most of all - music. At the age of 18 Adrian began playing harps, he is currently studying at the Academy of Music in Krakow. He perfected his skills at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz (Austria). The harpist participated in many international contests and festivals. He prefers solo performance and chamber music. Although he has experience playing with orchestras, in particular the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra. This year, Adrian debuted on stage at the Lviv Opera House with solo rehearsal.
Martyna Chmiel began playing piano at the age of 16, is currently studying at the Music Academy in Krakow. Despite the young age, Martyna has already managed to play on many scenes in Poland and abroad, and has participated in numerous master classes. She is the vice-chairperson of the Society of Pianists at the Academy of Music in Cracow, with whom she co-organizes concerts from the series "Piano mosaics". This project was created on the initiative of Students of the Music University of Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw and aims to deepen the cooperation of young musicians from polish academies of music.
At the concert on September 8, you will hear modern and baroque music.
In the first department, Adrian Nowak and Martyna Węgrzynowska will play the Intermezzo by Dutch composer Andriessen, the sonata by Italian Donizetti, the fantasy on the theme of the traditional Japanese song "Haru no umi" by Molnar, three fragments for the flute and harps by Polish composer Lutosławski, "Danse des ombres heureuses" from the opera "Orpheus and Eurydice" by Gluck and "Entr'acte" by Frenchman Ibert.After an intermission, a pianist Martyna Chmiel will join to the flutist and harpist. Together, they will perform Tournier's "Feerie", as well as a concerto by Poradowski.
